Africa
Africa is situated in the tropical region with a large massive of rainfall forest in the equatorial region. A large part of this continent is covered with savannahs which change into a desert both in the north and south-west. In the utmost northern and southern parts of Africa, the climate shows subtropical characteristics. In Brno ZOO, a rich collection of African fauna is kept, especially of ungulates (wildebeests, zebras and giraffes), baboons, birds and reptiles.
