Animals kept

A major part of Europe is situated in the temperate zone and only its southern regions belong to the subtropical zone. For nearly the whole Europe deciduous trees are very typical and only in its northern part taiga and tundra do occur. Of the European fauna above all representatives of predators, ungulates and birds are kept in capture in our zoo.

In the Brno zoological garden there are 785 animals belonging to 210 species of amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. We keep animals from all continents with the exception of Antarctica.
